Pup Pup Walk Walk

11 frame quick animation again. This time I did my very very very first quad walk cycle. It's got issues still and there's zero secondary animation, but hey...it's a first for me, so nyah nyah.

dance dance dance

I haven't animated people in a VERY long time and I did this as an hour piece to try and shake the cobwebs loose.
Just a blondie doing a looped dance.
It has many issues, but for an hour I'm okay with it.

legend of zelda

So recently I had some art theft done to me. okay so a little backstory on this one. I was thinking about the art thieving going on and I got introspective. I've run across people who ref'd my work and drew their own thing generally using the lines I threw down. And all I ask there is for a link back to the original piece. But the out and out theft of a piece I'm not cool with.
So I thought back to my own days of tracing...I was 7 years old. It was 1986 and Legend of Zelda just came out. I was in love with the artwork in the game booklet and traced the characters from it and transpose it onto lined paper and made a comic out of it. Despite looking very similar to Link, 'my' guy Zin was pinker with white hair and a purple tunic. I giggled thinking back to how I traced back then and somehow it led me back to my old comic where Zin was a rogue hero who was out to save Zelda and in a way competing with link.
well it's 2009 now and Zin won

2009 Sketchbook sneak peek

This will be a full color book. Each page will be a girl named after a letter of the alphabet...that didn't make sense...
Anyhow this is Abigail, Beatriz and Cora. The first three gals of the book in their current WIP form.
These will first be available for sale at Anime Expo 2009. I may send some with friends to SDCC pre-signed since I won't be there. It'll depend on who's available to do some selling for me.
Also instead of leaving a page to draw in like I did the past couple years *since paper can be flimsy and there always ends up with bleedthrough, I'll be bringing with me some blank index cards for free sketches to go into the sketchbook with each sale.
ALSO (whew) I'll be having some postcard prints made up of a few of the girls from the book as well as some larger prints. Prices to follow...
